Privacy policy

Last updated October 6, 2026

mark is a private archive, and it's built to stay that way. There are no ads, no tracking cookies and no public profiles, and your data is never sold. This page explains what mark stores, why, and who else touches it.

What mark stores

  • Your account: your name, email address and profile picture from Google, used to sign you in.
  • Your archive: the posts, articles and links you save, their text and images, and your folders, highlights and notes.
  • Your subscription: your plan, its status and the Creem customer and subscription IDs. Card details go straight to Creem and never reach mark.
  • Preferences: a few cookies keep you signed in and remember interface choices like the sidebar and the folders pinned to your dock. Your theme is stored in your browser.

Who can see your archive

Only you. Your saves live in a private database and a private storage bucket, and every row is locked to your account. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Nothing you save is shared, published or used to train AI models.

Services mark relies on

  • Supabase hosts the database, sign-in and file storage.
  • Vercel hosts the website and counts anonymous page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.
  • Google handles sign-in.
  • Creem processes payments as the merchant of record.
  • FxTwitter and X's public embed service: when you save an X post, its link is sent to them to fetch the content.
  • The website you save: for other links, mark fetches the page from its own site to read its title, summary and preview image.

How long data is kept

Your archive is kept while your account exists. To get a copy of your data or to delete your account and everything in it, email support@mark-it.app and it will be done.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time. Wherever you live, the same answer applies: just email support@mark-it.app.

Children

mark isn't meant for anyone under 16.
