Terms of service

Last updated October 4, 2026

These terms cover your use of mark, a private archive for posts and articles from X and pages from the web. By creating an account, you agree to them. They're written to be read, so if anything is unclear, ask.

What mark does

When you save a link, mark fetches the post, article or page and keeps a copy of its text and images in your archive, so you can still read it if the original is deleted. Videos and GIFs keep their thumbnail only. Some content can't be fetched, for example private or age-restricted posts, and mark can't save what it can't reach.

Your account

You sign in with Google. An account is for one person, and you're responsible for what happens under it. Keep your Google account secure, and tell us if you think someone else has access to yours.

Plans and billing

  • Starter: $9 a month or $90 a year, up to 20 saves.
  • Growth: $19 a month or $190 a year, with no save limit.

There's no free trial. Payments are handled by Creem, which acts as the merchant of record, so your receipt and any sales tax come from Creem. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Prices can change; if yours does, you'll be told before your next renewal.

Cancelling

You can cancel anytime from Settings, and you won't be charged again. Once your subscription ends, you can no longer open your archive or save new items. Your saved items are kept for 30 days after that, so you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off; after 30 days they are permanently deleted. If a charge looks wrong, email support@mark-it.app and we'll sort it out.

What you save

The posts and pages you save belong to their authors. mark keeps a copy for your own personal reading and reference. Don't use mark to republish, sell or share other people's content. Your notes and highlights are yours.

Fair use

Please don't:

  • try to access anyone else's archive or break the service's security,
  • use scripts or bots to save content in bulk or to load the service heavily,
  • resell access to mark or use it to break the law.

Accounts that do these things may be suspended.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep mark running and your archive safe, but the service is provided as is. It may sometimes be unavailable, and X or other sites may change in ways that stop some saves from working. To the extent the law allows, mark's liability to you is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page and its date will be updated. For changes that matter, you'll be told in the app or by email before they take effect.
